International Print Exchange

I initiated and organized the International Print Exchange for six years in partnership with Manitoba Printmakers Association, the Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts in China, the Visual Arts Centre in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Graphics Society, the Ottawa School of Art, the German Chinese Friendship Society, the Ken Segal Gallery in Winnipeg, and Proof Gallery in Toronto. The International Print Exchange held its first exhibition and exchange in 2002. The annual event was taken on by Sheila Jonah through Proof Gallery in Toronto. It was kept alive for 14 years.

The International Print Exchange and Exhibition provided an opportunity for printmakers from different geographical locations in the world to exchange and exhibit their work. Each year the animal from the Chinese zodiac served as the theme. A full colour catalog was available each year either in hard copy of digitally allowing those who could not attend the exhibition an opportunity to see each others work.
